In the morning session, several of Potts' former trainees, who now are international leaders in the study of bone and mineral diseases, presented overviews of their recent work. In the afternoon, other scientific leaders from around the world, whose careers were influenced by Potts' mentorship, presented discussions about endocrinology, gene therapy and neuroscience. Dennis Ausiello, MD, MGH physician-in-chief, presented a portrait of Potts, which will reside in the Department of Medicine along with other portraits of MGH chiefs of Medicine.
