What's Happening Flu vaccination program
Because the flu season is starting late this year, MGH employees and volunteers still have
time to be vaccinated against the flu through the MGH Occupational Health Service. MGHers
who have direct interaction with patients are particularly encouraged to be vaccinated.
Vaccinations are available by appointment Monday through Friday, from 7 am to 5 pm. For
more information or to make an appointment, call (617) 726-2217.

Clinics building Lower Amphitheater. Refreshments will be provided. For more information,
contact Matt Girotto at (781) 433-3744 or send e-mail to mgirotto@partners.org.
Hotline
correction
An article in last week's Hotline, about the national consortium formed to study
factors controlling burn and trauma recovery, should have included additional information.
The $6.7 million given as a grant by the National Institute of General Medical
Sciences to the project is the first portion of what is expected to be $37 million
in overall support for a five-year project led by Ronald G. Tompkins, MD, ScD, director of
the MGH Sumner Redstone Burn Center and chief of the MGH Trauma Service.
