  • Walking in a winter wonderland ...
    Festive holiday music by a live three-piece band, white lights and poinsettias transformed the MGH's Tea Leaves and Coffee Beans cafe into a winter wonderland Dec. 9 for the first of three holiday parties hosted by James J. Mongan, MD, president of the MGH.
  • MGHers give inspirational gift to Guam
    In the true spirit of the holiday season, a group of MGHers recently gave the ultimate gift when they were deployed to a region of the world that was struck by a super-typhoon. The MGH once again was called into action Dec. 10 to give aid in an international disaster as it activated its International Medical Surgical Response Team (IMSuRT).
  • MGHers celebrate holidays around the world
    The MGH Patient Care Services Diversity Steering Committee hosted its annual "Holidays around the World" celebration Dec. 12 in the Main Corridor. Festive tables
    representing the Chinese New Year, Christmas, Diwali, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Ramadan and the Winter Solstice lined the hallway offering information about each celebration.

  • Mrs. Claus makes special guest appearance
    While Santa Claus has been busy with personal appearances at malls across America, Mrs. Claus and her little helper "Jingles"the elf lent Santa a helping hand recently by delivering special gifts and candy canes to MassGeneral for Children patients on Ellison 17 and 18.
  • Classic holiday tale raises money for MGH children
    Popular illustrator Mary Engelbreit recently made a personal appearance at a local department store in Downtown Crossing to autograph copies of her latest book in the spirit of the holiday season and to raise money for the MGH.
