Holidays around the world

Sleigh bells were ringing and jingles were jangling Dec. 9 as members of the MGH Patient Care Services (PCS) Diversity Steering Committee showcased table displays for the annual "Holidays Around the World" celebration in the Main Corridor.

Festive tables representing Hannukah, Kwanzaa, Winter Solstice, Christmas and Chinese New Year as well as Deepawali, which is the festival of lights celebrated in India; and Eidul Fitr, which marks the end of fasting during Ramadan; lined the hallway offering information about each celebration.

The event also highlighted the committee's coordination of traditional gift giving to families in need from the MGH's HAVEN — Hospital's Helping Abuse and Violence End Now — program. The gifts were donated by MGH employees and volunteers.
