Timilty Middle School students strut their
science
Jose Barros, left, a seventh grader from the James P. Timilty Middle School in Roxbury, and Celeste Peters, an information ambassador in the WACC Lobby, made up one of many student/mentor pairs displaying their science projects last week in the Main Corridor. Jose, who also is the son of Hugo Barros, of MGH Environmental Services, did his project on AIDS, focusing on awareness and prevention efforts for teens. The students, who were warming up for the schools science fair later in the week, had been matched with MGHers through the Science Fair Mentoring Program, sponsored by the MGH/Timilty Partnership. For more information about mentoring programs, call 4-3210. |
