MGH AIDS research to be featured on NOVA

AIDS research being conducted by MGH scientists will be featured in a documentary titled Surviving AIDS, scheduled to air Feb. 2, at 8 pm, on the Public Broadcasting System's NOVA program (local broadcast can be seen on WGBH Channel 2).

The program reports new data uncovered by scientists in leading AIDS research labs throughout the country, including those at the MGH. The MGH research team is focusing on ways to harness the body's immune system to help control the virus.

Surviving AIDS is expected to feature interviews with members of the MGH research team, including Bruce Walker, MD, and Eric Rosenberg, MD, of the Partners AIDS Research Center and the MGH Infectious Disease Unit, as well as with patients receiving AIDS therapies and treatments.
