Breastfeeding seminar
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host "Nourishing Your Newborn: The Latest and Greatest," a presentation for MGH and Partners employees about breastfeeding. The seminar will feature a talk by Germaine Lambergs, an MGH lactation consultant, and a tour of the lactation rooms where breast pumps are available for nursing mothers. The presentation will be offered twice: Feb. 3, 1 to 2 pm, room 401, VBK; and Feb. 4, noon to 1 pm, seventh floor conference room, CNY Building 149. For more information, call the EAP at 6-6976.

Writing grants
The MGH Department of Medicine's Academic Council will present the next of its faculty seminar series "How to Write a Grant" Feb. 8, 4 to 5:30 pm, in the Wellman Conference Room. For more information, call 6-1774.

Fire safety training
Fire safety training courses will be held for employees throughout 1999. Next month's classes will take place Feb. 11, 11 am to noon, seventh floor conference room, CNY Building 149, and Feb. 16, 3 to 4 pm, in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Attending a training class is one of several ways employees may meet annual fire safety requirements. To arrange special classes for departments or to receive a fire safety booklet listing requirement options, including self-directed activities, call the Safety Office at 6-2425 or e-mail safety.office@mgh.harvard.edu.

Profit in health care
"Healthy Profit?: Issues and Options of Nonprofit and For-profit Health Care," a presentation sponsored by the Pioneer Institute for Public Policy Research, will take place Feb. 9, 8:30 to 10:30 am, at the Galleria Conference Center, The Inn at Longwood Medical, 342 Longwood Ave., Boston.
