Welcoming neighbors from
across the globe Visitors from Hygeia Hospital, the largest private hospital in Greece, received a warm welcome from physicians and staff of the Partners Telemedicine and International Programs during an official visit Oct. 30. Dimitrios Linos, MD, and Costas Kitsionas, senior leaders at Hygeia, came to Boston to sign a telemedicine and patient referral contract with Partners, which will formalize the collaboration among the institutions using state-of-the-art telemedicine technology. "This affiliation creates a valuable link among our high-level institutions," says Joseph Kvedar, MD, director of Partners Telemedicine. "Using teleradiology, our physicians can share images, consult on cases and ultimately improve the patient care at all of our institutions."
