  • Partners loses health care "visionary"
    H. Richard Nesson, MD, who helped oversee the formation of Partners HealthCare System, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Oct. 18 at his home in Chestnut Hill. He was 66.
  • MGH to lead major national study of bipolar disorder
    The MGH has been chosen by the National Institute of Mental Health as the coordinating center for a national research study into the treatment of bipolar disorder, more commonly called manic-depressive disorder.
  • Schwartz Center hosts a musical evening
    Approximately 900 guests enjoyed a special performance by Keith Lockhart, conductor of the Boston Pops Orchestra, and his wife violinist Lucia Lin, at the third annual Schwartz Center dinner Oct. 13 at the Westin Hotel. 
  • MGHers continue the Ether Day tradition
    Pieces of MGH history reveal themselves each year on Ether Day as the hospital applauds its employees some who have worked at the MGH for more than half their lives for their years of service.
  • It's just a little pinch
    Flu vaccine will be available to MGH and Partners employees beginning Nov. 3. This year's program has the theme "It's Just a Little Pinch," helping to remind employees that staying well during flu season is fast and simple.
