North Shore has new
president The North Shore Medical Center (NSMC) recently appointed Alexander Movahed as president and chief executive officer of the Partners-affiliated institution. Movahed served as interim president since January of this year and previously served the organization for more than 20 years as senior vice president for Operations. In expressing his support for this decision, Samuel O. Thier, MD, President and CEO of Partners, says, "In keeping with Alex's distinguished history at The North Shore Medical Center, he has served admirably as interim president over the past nine months, and his leadership has kept the institution on its successful course. As we work together to build on the progress we have made over the past several years, I am pleased that Alex will be at The NSMC's helm." |
