Kickoff of MGH nurse recruitment campaign

103098Mayes ad.jpg (2951 bytes)Meet Rischa Mayes, RN, right, of the General Surgery and Trauma Unit. She is one of several nurses who are sharing their experiences at the MGH for a nurse recruitment and image campaign, which was launched Oct. 27. Mayes and several of her colleagues were chosen for the campaign because they represent the range and scope of the Nursing Department's clinical practice, cultural diversity and patient care areas that have vacant positions.

"Recognizing the excellence of our nursing staff and understanding the need to retain and attract promising new graduates and seasoned experts, the department of Nursing has developed this campaign to create and promote a positive and lasting image for nurses," says Bonnell Glass, RN, MS, executive assistant to the senior vice president for Patient Care Services.

These campaign ads will be printed in regional and national professional publications and local newspapers to recruit for nursing positions at the MGH.

The Patient Care Services Human Resources team and the Department of Nursing will host a job fair Nov. 15, noon to 4 pm in the WACC lobby. Human Resources representatives and nurse managers will be available for questions and interviews. For more information, call 6-5140.
