MGH IHP graduate information programs
The MGH Institute of Health Professions will hold an information session about its graduate programs in Clinical Investigation, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nursing and Physical Therapy, Nov. 12, 4:30 to 6:30 pm, at 101 Merrimac St. To attend, call 6-3140.

The art of fathering
The Employee Assistance Program's next Work/Life seminar will discuss the topic of "Fathering," Nov. 5, noon, in Burr Conference Rooms 5 and 6, third floor, Bartlett Hall Extension. The presentation will address men's more active role in the parenting of their children, and the challenges that arise personally and professionally. Life of a support group
"Life of a group," a presentation for MGH employees, will simulate a cancer support group. Members of a health care team will portray the complicated web of issues cancer patients confront. The program, which is jointly sponsored by the MGH Social Services, the MGH Cancer Center and Smith-Kline Beecham, will be held Nov. 12, 4 to 6 pm in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Clinical research careers for fellows
William Crowley, MD, director of the Clinical Research Program at the MGH, will discuss the roles of mentors and mentees at the next Fellows Seminar Nov. 2., 5 to 6 pm, in the Bigelow 8 Conference Room. Vincent Club symposium
The Vincent Club will hold a medical symposium and luncheon Nov. 9, 9:30 am to 2 pm, in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The program focuses on innovative approaches and therapies in women's cancers. Speakers include Thomas Toth, MD, director, Vincent In-Vitro Fertilization Program; Anne Kathryn Goodman, MD, director of the Gynecologic Oncology Fellowship Program and Colposcopy Clinic at the MGH; and Barbara Smith, MD, PhD, director, Comprehensive Breast Health Center and co-director, MGH Gillette Center for Women's Cancers. Treadwell OVID classes

HMS career development program
Harvard Medical School (HMS) will co-sponsor an upcoming Career Development Series designed for physicians in postdoctoral training, residents and junior faculty. The session, "Time Management II," will be presented by Harry Greene, MD, executive vice president of the Massachusetts Medical Society, Nov. 4, 5:15 to 7:30 pm, at the Longwood Galleria Conference Center. The session is a follow-up to an earlier presentation Oct. 21 but is appropriate for first-time participants. Pre-registration is required by calling (800) 322-2303, ext. 1022.
