MGH, Partners cyclists support AIDS research

Mark Ogino, MD, of the NICU, and Greg Koski, MD, director of Human Studies, Research Affairs, rest from the rigors of pedaling in the 300-mile Boston to New York AIDS ride, which took place in September. The MGHers teamed up with others from Partners to join the more than 2,800 riders in the three-day trip benefiting AIDS care and research. The Partners Community Benefit Program helped support the effort by matching $500 on behalf of each rider.

Raising nearly $24,000 of the estimated $6.5 million raised at the ride this year, the Partners team also included MGHers Donald Lloyd-Jones, MD, Medicine; Benjamin Davis, MD, Infectious Disease Unit; Paul Barach, MD, Anesthesia; Emily Oken, MD, Medicine/Pediatrics; and Luis Melendez, Anesthesia/Biomedical Engineering. Also on the team were Frances Priddy, MD, BWH Medicine; Troy Tomilonus, BWH Quality Management Services; and Mary Clooney, Partners Information Systems.
