Hockey highlights: Team MGH vs. Bruins Black and Gold Legends

The stands at Harvard University's Bright Arena were filled with MGH fans Jan. 21 as they cheered on Team MGH in the third annual celebrity hockey game against the Black and Gold Legends — a team of former Boston Bruins hockey players. The highly-anticipated event raised $20,000 for the MGH United Way Campaign. Although Team MGH (left) lost the game, 11 to 4, the players and their many fans had a great time. "We didn't mind losing to such a great team of players because everyone had a ball, and it was all for a good cause," says Ron Doncaster, of MGH Radiology and captain of Team MGH.

"We had a great team this year representing dozens of MGH and Partners departments. We'd like to thank the many MGH volunteers who worked hard behind the scenes to make this a spectacular event. And we'd like to thank all of the MGH fans who came out to the rink to root us on. We look forward to doing this again next year."
