Graduate information
sessions
The MGH Institute of Health Professions will offer graduate information
sessions Feb. 26, from 10 am to noon, and May 19, from 6 to 8 pm in the
Catherine Filene Shouse Building. Staff will be available to answer questions
about the admissions process, application deadlines, prerequisites, financial
aid, student life and online learning options. Faculty and students will
offer information regarding the Institute's graduate entry-level, post-professional
and certificate programs in Clinical Investigation, Communication Science
and Disorders (including Reading Specialist CAS), Medical Imaging, Nursing

Longwood Symphony Orchestra
The Longwood Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra of Boston's medical community,
will perform March 12 at 8 pm at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall
to benefit the Joslin Diabetes Center. The concert will feature guest
artists The Weilerstein Trio. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6:30
pm with Jonathan McPhee, the newly appointed music director. Tickets are

MGH Leadership Academy
MGH supervisors and managers are invited to the launch of the MGH Leadership
Academy Feb. 23, from 10 to 11 am in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. This information
session will introduce supervisors and managers to the Academy's five
pillars of leadership and its competency model. For more information,

CRP seminar
The Clinical
Research Program (CRP) will sponsor "Problem-Based Biostatistics
Seminars for Physiologic Investigators" March 8 and 22, from 3:30
to 5 pm in the Walcott Conference Rooms and March 15 and 29, from 3:30
to 5 pm in the Burr 5 and 6 Conference Rooms. Intended for physiologic
investigators who have moderate or substantial statistical experience,
each of the four sessions will focus on a different theme and an actual
research project. A database will be used to provide concrete and realistic
examples. Seminars will be run by John Orvav, associate professor of Medicine
at Harvard Medical School. Enrollment is limited. Registration is required
