Process management course
The MGH Leadership Academy will launch a learning intensive series with a process management course. Classes will be held April 26 and 29 and May 11 from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm. The course combines lecture, case study and small group discussions with practice. The Leadership Academy is open to anyone with supervisory responsibilities as defined by their job codes. Clinical Research Day
The Clinical Research program will host Clinical Research Day June 28 beginning at 8:30 am in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. Keynote speaker Jeffrey Drazen, MD,
editor-in-chief of the New England Journal of Medicine, will address "Lessons in Translational Research: Pharmacogenetics of Asthma and Beyond." There will be
presentations of award-winning abstracts and a panel discussion with leaders from academia and industry. The submission deadline for abstracts is April 29. For more information, send e-mail to crpedu@partners.org or call (617) 726-1669.

Talamo lectureship
MassGeneral Hospital for Children will sponsor the 15th Richard C. Talamo Lectureship April 28 at 5 pm in the Meltzer Auditorium at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Robert Langer, ScD, a professor at MIT, and George Q. Daley, MD, PhD, associate professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School, will present. Children and Healthcare Week
MassGeneral Hospital for Children will celebrate national Children and Healthcare Week April 26 to 29. To kick off the week, residents will present "Cases from the Wards: Family-Centered Style" April 26 at noon in the Wellman Conference Room. The Family-Centered Care Awards will be held April 27 at 2 pm on Ellison 17. In conjunction with Bring Your Child to Work Day April 29, children visiting the hospital and others may participate in the Children's Health Fair from 9 am to 3 pm under the Bulfinch tents. Free skin cancer screening
MGH Dermatology will sponsor a free skin cancer screening May 17, from 5 to 6:30 pm at the Dermatology Laser Center, 275 Cambridge St. The screenings will be performed by MGH dermatologists and are by appointment only. For more information, call (617) 726-7787.

Community Health Day
The MGH Revere HealthCare Center will celebrate the fifth annual Community Health Day April 26 from noon to 2 pm at the health center. The educational event will have posters on display. Guest speaker Joseph R. Betancourt, MD, co-chair of the MGH Committee on Racial and Ethnic Disparities, will present "Disparities in Health Care and the progress at MGH." Hotline correction
In the April 8 issue of the MGH Hotline, the title for Michael Jaff, DO, was listed incorrectly. His correct title is director of Vascular Medicine, Cardiology Division.

New intranet site launched
A new and improved hospitalwide intranet website was launched April 14. The site can be accessed from the MGH homepage (click on "Link to MGH Intranet" in the bottom, right-hand corner) or directly at www.massgeneral.org/intranet. The internal-only site is meant to help all employees and staff find the right information at the right time. It includes links to news items, resources, benefits, policies and other sources of information that may be helpful to MGHers.
