Clinical Research Day poster design class
The MGH Photography Department will offer two poster design classes June 9, from 8 to 9 am in the Thier (formerly Wellman) Conference Room and June 16, from 4 to 5 pm in the Haber Conference Room for those who have submitted abstracts for Clinical Research Day. The sessions will provide an overview of the poster design process and give researchers an opportunity to have specific questions answered. Handouts with step-by-step instructions and CDs with poster templates will be available. Registration is required. To register, visit http://crnet.mgh.harvard.edu/education/education.asp.

The Photography Department also is offering discounted printing prices as an incentive for early submission of Clinical Research Day posters. Files received by June 7 will receive a 30 percent discount; by June 14, a 20 percent discount; and by June 21, a 10 percent discount. Class attendance is not required to receive this discount. Blood Donor Center summer hours
In response to blood donor requests, the MGH Blood Donor Center will be adjusting its hours for the summer months. From June 1 to Sept. 1, the center
will be open from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm on Wednesdays, and will be closed on Mondays. The center will be open Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, and Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for whole blood donations. Hours for platelet donations are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 5 pm, Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 5 pm, and Fridays from 8:30 am to 3 pm. For more information, call (617) 726-8177.

Free summer help available
The City of Boston's Summer Jobs program provides staffing support to MGH and Partners departments and meaningful part-time employment to Boston youth. This resource is available through two MGH Community Benefit youth employment
programs — SummerWorks and Jobs for Youth (J4Y). Each program is supported by an on-site program manager who works closely with participating departments and the student employees. For more information about SummerWorks, call (617) 724-6424. For more information about J4Y, call (617) 724-8326.

Community Benefits anniversary
The MGH Community Benefit Program will celebrate its 10th anniversary June 6, from 1:45 to 3 pm under the Bulfinch tent. Join keynote speaker Sen. Edward Kennedy and celebrate 10 years of partnering to improve community health.

Charles/MGH station closure
The Charles/MGH T station will be shut down during the Memorial Day weekend, from 9 pm May 27 until 5:30 am May 31. The MBTA will run bus service to replace train service. Buses will stop at the Park, Charles/MGH and Kendall Square stations.
