In General Beverly M.K. Biller, MD, of the MGH Neuroendocrine Unit, recently was honored by the American College of Endocrinology (ACE) with the Distinction in Clinical Endocrinology Award 2005. The mission of ACE is to provide and promote education, research and communication in the art and science of clinical endocrinology. Biller is the first woman to receive this prestigious award. Michael H. Picard, MD, director of
the MGH Clinical Echocardiography Lab, recently was the recipient of the
2005 Richard Popp Excellence in Teaching Award from the American Society
of Echocardiography. The award recognizes a physician who epitomizes the
ideal qualities of a mentor and a role model. Picard was chosen for his
outstanding teaching and mentoring talents. |
