David H. Sachs, MD, director of the MGH Transplantation Biology Research Center, recently received the 2005 Roche Ernest Hodge Memorial Award — the American Society of Transplantation (AST) distinguished achievement award — at the American Transplant Congress. The $25,000 award is the AST's highest honor. It is a career achievement award to someone who has made groundbreaking contributions to the field.

Anne Klibanski, MD, chief of the MGH Neuroendocrine Unit, has been elected president of the Pituitary Society. This international organization is comprised of scientists and clinicians dedicated to research and patient care in the area of pituitary disorders and neuroendocrinology.
