Operating Rooms career expo
The Operating Rooms will host a career expo Jan. 18, from 1 to 6 pm in the Sweet Room, Gray Bigelow Building, fourth floor, Room 432, to share information about job opportunities currently available. MGH Human Resources representatives and Operating Room staff will be available for interviews. EAP manager and supervisor training session
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will offer a training course for managers and supervisors regarding the use of the EAP as a resource to assist with behavioral, mental health and substance abuse concerns Jan. 31, from 9 to 11 am in the Haber Conference Room. Blum Center computer usage
Because of increased volume and demand for computer access at the Blum Patient and Family Learning Center, MGH staff, volunteers and Bulfinch temporary employees are encouraged to use the center's computers only for medical and health information services or for an educational paper. The staff of the center appreciates the understanding of MGH employees and volunteers regarding this issue.

MGH college/career fair
MGH Workplace Training and Development will host a college/career fair Feb. 3, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm in the Walcott Conference Room to provide employees with the opportunity to explore options to advance their education and careers in health care. Representatives from area colleges will be available to answer questions about financial assistance and career pursuits. Martin Luther King Day program
The Association of Multicultural Members of Partners and MGH Human Resources will co-host a Martin Luther King Day program Jan. 13, at 8 am in the East Garden Room. The guest speaker will be Milton J. Little, Jr., president and chief executive officer of the United Way of Massachusetts Bay. For more information, send e-mail to phsammp@partners.org.

MGH Human Resources smoking cessation program
MGH Human Resources, in cooperation with the MGH Quit Smoking Service and MGH Community Health Associates, is offering two smoking cessation groups. The first group will meet Thursdays, Jan. 12, 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 and March 2, from noon to 12:45 pm at CNY, Building 149. The second group will meet Wednesdays, Feb. 22, March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5 and 12 from noon to 12:45 pm in the Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care, 10th floor, Room 10620.
