Sadness and loss lecture
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Sadness and Loss" Jan. 24, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms. Gail Leslie, RN, a clinical nurse specialist with MGH Psychiatry, will present. For more information, call (617) 724-6756.

Applied biostatistics seminar series
The MGH Clinical Research Program will host a four-week seminar series "Seminars in Applied Biostatistics for Clinical Trials" Feb. 7, 14, 28 and March 7, from 3:30 to 5 pm in the Simches Research Center, third floor, Room 3120. The series is intended for investigators interested in clinical research and will review the statistical approach to problems commonly encountered in research. Registration is required. For more

Guaranteed Ride Home program
All MGH employees have free access to the Guaranteed Ride Home program through the hospital's membership in the Artery Business Committee Transportation Management Association, which sponsors the program. The service provides a free ride home in the event of an emergency or unscheduled overtime. Call for United Way hockey players
A meeting for all MGH hockey players interested in participating in the annual United Way charity hockey game will take place Jan. 24, at 4 pm in the Haber Conference Room.
