Be Fit: Massage class eases stress

Most commonly used to flatten dough to make pies, rolling pins also can be used to loosen muscles and ease stress. Tips on how to use everyday household items to chase away tension were offered at the Be Fit program's massage class held Jan. 19. Led by Michelle Connolly (left), a massage therapist for The Clubs at Charles River Park, the class focused on self-care massage techniques using items such as tennis balls, golf balls and rolling pins. The class is offered as part of the Be Fit program's Survivor Sessions — monthly seminars to help guide participants toward healthy living. The sessions are open to Be Fit members and nonmembers.
