New administrative fellowship
for physicians
Applications now are being accepted for a new, one-year administrative
fellowship for physicians. The goal of the program is to develop physician
leaders in health care organizations by providing management training
and experience in a variety of hospital settings. The fellow is expected
to continue clinical practice during the year and to devote a minimum
of 50 percent of his or her time to the fellowship. A stipend is available.
Applications are due by March 15. Interested physicians should contact

Employee smoking cessation program
The MGH Human Resources Department, in cooperation with the MGH Quit Smoking
Services and MGH Community Health Associates, is offering a smoking cessation
program for employees. The group will meet Wednesdays, Feb. 22, March
1, 8, 15, 22, 29, April 5 and 12, from noon to 12:45 pm in the Yawkey
Center, 10th floor, Room 10620. For more information or to register, call

MGH Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host "Eat for Life"
Feb. 14, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference Rooms. Mary Ann
Hardenbergh, of the Action for a Community-Centered Nutrition workshop,
will present. The Senior HealthWISE film series will host the movie "March
of the Penguins," Feb. 16, from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Haber
Conference Room. Admission for both events is free. For more information,

IRB lecture
The Human Research Committee Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the
Clinical Research Program will host "Tissue Banks: A Wise Investment"
March 2, from 4 to 5:30 pm in the Simches Research Center, third floor,
Room 3120. Physician and nursing continuing education credits are available.

Employee survey about new outpatient
practice
All MGH and Partners employees are invited to participate in a survey
about a potential new outpatient internal medicine practice specifically
for MGH and Partners employees and their adult dependents. On Feb. 13,
employees will be sent an e-mail with a link to the survey. Departments
that do not use e-mail regularly should contact Nicola Majchrzak at (617)

to receive a paper copy of the survey.
Memorial service for Jody Brown, RN
A memorial service for Jody Brown, RN, of MGH Vincent Obstetrics and Gynecology,
will be held Feb. 16 at 5:30 pm in the Chapel on Ellison 1. A reception
will be held in the East Garden Room immediately following the service.
