Clinical Research Day poster
classes
The MGH Photography Department is offering two poster design classes for
MGH Clinical Research Day abstracts. The classes will be held April 26,
from 8 to 9 am, and May 9, from 4 to 5 pm in the Simches Research Center,
Room 3120 and will
offer instructions on poster design and a CD of poster template files.
Early poster
submissions also are eligible for discounted printing rates. Files received
by May 9 will receive a 30 percent discount, and files received by May
16 will receive a 15 percent discount. To receive the discount, reference
Clinical Research Day when submitting files for printing. For more information,

Earth Day information table
MGH Environmental Services will host an Earth Day information table April
20, from 7 am to 4 pm in the Main Corridor. Topics will include information
about the MGHÕs efforts to reduce waste, conserve energy and conservation

Memorial service for Barbara J. Shepard
A memorial service for Barbara J. Shepard, a medical staff coordinator
for MassGeneral Hospital for Children, will be held April 18, at 3 pm
in the Chapel located on Ellison 1. Shepard died March 21 after a brief
illness. All MGH friends and colleagues are invited to attend.
Employee smoking cessation program
The MGH Human Resources Department, in cooperation with the MGH Quit Smoking
Service and MGH Community Health Associates, is offering a smoking cessation
group for MGH employees. The group will meet Thursdays, April 27, May
4, 11, 18, 25, June 1, 8 and 15, from 5 to 5:45 pm at 50 Staniford St.,

Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a one-hour exercise session "Get
Warm and Stay Fit" April 19, from 11 am to 1 pm at The Clubs at Charles
River Park. Lunch will be served. The Senior HealthWISE film series also
will host a screening of "The Aviator" April 21, from 1 to 3:30
pm in the Haber Conference Room. Admission is free, and registration is
