EatWISE, Eat Smart nutrition
workshop
MGH Senior HealthWISE, in collaboration with MGH Nutrition and Food Services,
will host a six-week EatWISE, Eat Smart nutrition workshop beginning May
3. Classes will meet Wednesdays, from 2 to 3 pm at the West End Branch
Library. Pre-registration is required. The workshop is free for seniors

Wellman Center lecture series
The Wellman Center for Photomedicine will host "Enzyme-Activated
Photodynamic Therapy" April 25, from 2:15 to 3:15 pm in the Thier
Conference Room, with a coffee reception at 2 pm. Norbert Lange, PhD,
of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences EPGL at the University of Geneva

Eldercare discussion group
The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host its last eldercare discussion
group April 25, from noon to 1 pm in the Doerr Conference Center, Room
10650 in the Yawkey Center for Outpatient Care. Janet T. Loughlin, LICSW,
CEAP and Barbara Moscowitz, LICSW, will discuss making decisions about
the next steps for care and strategies for helping older adults accept

Chaplaincy grand rounds
MGH Chaplaincy will host a grand rounds video presentation of "Hospital
Chaplaincy: A New Look" April 25, at 11 am in the Sweet Conference
Room. The documentary features archival footage and interviews with historians,
educators, chaplains and others about the development of professional
chaplaincy during the past 100 years. It was created by Katrina Scott,

Employee weekend parking
Employee access to the Fruit and Parkman Street garages for night and
weekend parking now is available by MGH ID badge only. Access hours are
Monday through Thursday, entrance not before 5:30 pm and exit not after
9:30 am and Friday, entrance not before 5:30 pm and exit not after Monday
at 9:30 am. The Parkman Street garage is restricted to card access only
Friday evenings through Monday mornings, and the Fruit Street garage is
restricted to card access only Saturday mornings. Employees are not allowed
to park in the Yawkey garage at any time. Parking for hospital-recognized

Genetics and genomics course
The MGH Clinical Research Program will host "Application of Genetics
and Genomics for Clinical Investigators" May 4 and 5. The course
is a combination of lectures and database tutorials, and students can
select components based on their needs. Lectures are free. The cost for
module one is $100, and the cost for modules two and three is $200. Registration
is recommended for lectures and required for workshops. The registration

Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host free anemia screenings April 24, from
1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Branch Library at 151 Cambridge St. and
April 26, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the West End Civic Association Community
Room at One Emerson Place. Screenings will be performed by Cheryl Wall,
RN, BSN. The Senior HealthWISE lecture series also will host "Hearing
Loss Basics" April 25, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott Conference
Rooms. Ellen O'Neill, ScD, CCCA, will present. For more information, call
