Celebrating children and why they're incredible

School children from Boston, Lowell, Quincy and other towns participated in some incredible activities as they gathered under the Bulfinch Tent April 28 for a day of fun and learning during MassGeneral Hospital for Children's (MGHC) annual Children's Health Fair. "You're Incredible" was the theme of this year's fair as more than 2,200 children streamed through the tents to enjoy learning activities at interactive booths and displays, featuring topics such as how the heart works, tips to keep hands clean, arts and crafts, and the importance of donating blood. Radio Disney also hosted a tent with DJ K-9 entertaining the kids and leading them in dance routines. New England Patriots player Stephen Neal made a special guest appearance, posing for photographs with Pedi the Bear and young Pats fans. The fair was just one of several highlights of the 10th anniversary celebration of Children and HealthCare Week. Other events included the Family-Centered Care Awards, the annual Queen for a Day event, pediatric grand rounds and an ice cream party.
