Nicholas T. Zervas, MD,
Lectureship
The seventh annual Nicholas T. Zervas, MD, Lectureship, "Sleep Loss:
A Risk Factor for Obesity and Diabetes," will be held May 16, at
noon in the Ether Dome. Eve Van Cauter, PhD, of the University of Chicago,

Women's health event
The MGH Community Health Centers will host "Celebrating Women: Living
a Vibrant Healthy Life" May 11, from 5 to 9 pm at CNY 149. The community
event is designed to promote healthy lifestyles among women. Mallika Marshall,
MD, of the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center and a medical reporter with CBS4,
will serve as moderator, and Stephanie Marston, author of Chicken Soup's
Life Lessons for Women, will be the guest speaker. Admission is free.

Menopause and your health
The MGH Women's Health Coordinating Council will host "Menopause
and Your Health" May 17, from 6 to 8:30 pm at MassGeneral West, Waltham.
The program is designed to help women better understand the facts about
menopause and current treatment options. Registration is $25, and scholarships

Senior HealthWISE events
The MGH Senior HealthWISE lecture series will host
"Cons and Fraud" "May 9, from 11 am to noon in the Walcott
Conference Rooms. John Driscoll, assistant director of MGH Police and
Security, will present topics including common scams targeted at the senior
population and how best to avoid them. The Senior HealthWISE film series
will host a screening of "Good Night, and Good Luck" May
11, from 1 to 3:30 pm in the Haber Conference Room. Registration is required.
