MGH participates in Field of Dreams benefit

Boston's rainy spring weather turned to warm sunshine in time for the ninth annual ABCD Field of Dreams benefit softball game at Fenway Park June 13. Twenty-four Partners physicians, nurses and other health care professionals (shown below) from the MGH and BWH played to support Boston's anti-poverty agency Action for Boston Community Development. Partners Community Benefit Programs provide funding for the event, which has raised more than $1 million for anti-poverty programs over the past eight years.

MGH team members were led by David F. Torchiana, MD, and included David Roberts, MD; Henry Chueh, MD; Joseph Betancourt, MD; David Greer, MD; Karen Lynch, RN; Gregg Meyer, MD; Daniel Ryan, MD; Emmett Schmidt, MD; Denise Palumbo, RN; and Jennifer Wargo, MD.
