Chelsea shares safety tips
Parents and children learned some important safety lessons at the MGH
Chelsea HealthCare Center's annual Family Summer Safety Fair and Bike
Rodeo held June 10. In preparation for the months of warm weather activities
ahead, volunteers performed bike and helmet safety checks to ensure that
both were appropriately sized for each child. The Child Identification
Program (CHIP) took dental images, fingerprints and videos of young attendees
for parents to keep on record in the event of an emergency. Educational
materials about sun, home, water, fire and car safety also were available
for families. Other fun activities included face-painting, bike raffles,
hula-hoop and coloring book contests and live entertainment.
