Making
a Difference grants improve care
MGHers honored the recipients of the 2006 Making a Difference grants at
a poster display and reception held June 6 in the Trustees Room. The Making
a Difference program — which is sponsored by the MGH and the Massachusetts
General Physicians Organization — offers up to $5,000 in support
of employee initiatives that improve the quality of care at the hospital
for patients and their families. Some of the projects piloted by this
year's 20 grant recipients include a teen oncology support group, a pediatric
epilepsy educational program and the creation of therapeutic activity
kits for patients. Below, a grant recipient,
right, describes her project.
The annual Making a Difference poster display is being showcased in the
Main Corridor until July 7. For a complete list of individual grant winners
and their projects, visit intranet.massgeneral.org.
