Senior HealthWISE medication workshop

MGH Senior HealthWISE will offer a "Be Med Smart" medication workshop July 3, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Hill House, 127 Mt. Vernon St., Boston. Topics will include tips for organizing medications and instructions on how to complete a "Be Med Smart" card that includes all medical information and can be given to health care personnel in an emergency. Blood pressure checks also will be available. This event is free for seniors age 60 years and older, and registration is required. For more information or to register, call (617) 724-6756.

Nesson Award nominations
Nominations for the H. Richard Nesson, MD, Awards now are being accepted. The awards are sponsored by Partners Community HealthCare, Inc. (PCHI) and
are given to programs that have exemplified innovation, collaboration and excellence. Nomination forms are available at pchinet.partners.org/internet/index.htm or by contacting Ruth Neuhaus at rneuhaus@partners.org. Red Sox Remy Report blood drive
The Red Sox Remy Report and the MGH and BWH's Blood Donor Centers will be co-hosting a blood drive July 11 through 14. All donors will receive an autographed Remdawg t-shirt and will be entered into a drawing to win two tickets to a Red Sox game. The MGH Blood Donor Center is located in the Gray Lobby and is open for whole blood donations Tuesday through Thursday, from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; and Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials course
The MGH Clinical Research Program, in collaboration with the MGH Cancer Center and the MGH Infectious Disease Unit, is offering "Design and Conduct of Clinical Trials" Mondays and Thursdays in September and October, from 5 to 6:15 pm. Participants will learn how to envision, plan, develop and execute effective clinical trials. Enrollment is limited, and there is a $200 registration fee.
