MGH nurse in ad campaign

MGH staff nurse Meg Soriano, RN, was featured in a full-page ad published in the Boston Globe July 11 (shown at right) that focuses on the issue of government-mandated ratios for nursing staff.

Sponsored by the Massachusetts Hospital Association and the Massachusetts Organization of Nurse Executives, the ad features a letter from Soriano describing one of the most difficult moments of her nursing career, caring for a dying woman and her family. Her colleagues pitched in to care for Soriano's other patients so she could focus on this family in need.
