  • MGH selected as employer of choice for employees over 50
    Dick Chevrette of MGH Police and Security has been a proud MGHer for more than 35 years. Recently, as he approached the age of 60, he decided that he wanted to start reducing his work hours so he could spend more time with his family, becoming what he calls "semi-retired."
  • MGH Chaplaincy Department honors new CPE graduates
    Six chaplain interns from the MGH Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) summer 2006 program recently were honored at a graduation ceremony in the MGH Chapel. The group of theological students, seminarians and clergy successfully completed an 11-week course covering the art and discipline of pastoral care. The program included hands-on training, instructional presentations, theological reflection and clinical supervision.
  • New Clinical Genetic Research Facility in Simches
    MGH investigators performing outpatient genetic studies now can make use of the new Clinical Genetic Research Facility (CGRF) located in the Simches Research Building. The contemporary 2,800-square-foot facility features six exam rooms, two interview/observation rooms, one phlebotomy room and a processing laboratory.
  • Seniors meet with City Councilor Ross
    Community issues were the focus of the day as participants in the MGH Senior HealthWISE program gathered in the Haber Conference Room Aug. 17 to meet with Boston City Councilor Michael Ross.
  • MGH Charlestown program recognized
    The Charlestown Substance Abuse Coalition (CSAC), a program of MGH Community Benefit and the MGH Charlestown HealthCare Center, has been named one of Boston's Top 10 Crime Watch Groups of the Year by the Boston Police Department (BPD). CSAC was one of ten community groups, each representing a BPD district, recognized for outstanding work and collaboration with the BPD and Boston Community Service Office.
  • ID badge required at all times
    The MGH Police and Security Department reminds all hospital staff and employees that wearing a hospital photo identification badge is required at all times on MGH property.
