Manage infertility with a Day of Wellness

Managing infertility can be stressful as well as challenging. To address the special issues and concerns associated with this topic, the MGH Fertility Center will offer a Day of Wellness featuring a "Healing Power of Song" workshop for individuals and couples interested in learning more about managing infertility September 30, from 9 am to 1 pm at the Schiff Conference Center on Yawkey 4.

The event will feature an overview of the center's programs in complementary medicine, including a holistic, mind-body approach to fertility management. Fertility Center physicians, nurses and social workers will be on hand to discuss stress reduction, meditation techniques and acupuncture therapy as holistic approaches that work alongside state-of-the-art medical treatment in support of fertility management. The highlight of the day will include a workshop on song therapy facilitated by professional voice coach Claude Stein, founder of the Natural Singer Workshop, a program that helps people from all walks of life find their voice. The workshop will help participants explore and develop techniques and exercises that use voice to relax the mind and body.

The Day of Wellness is free to all participants, and space is limited. Guests do not need to be patients of the MGH Fertility Center to participate, and no previous singing experience is required.

A light breakfast and lunch are included. To register or for more information, call (617) 726-8868.
