Bonzo Crunch visits MassGeneral Hospital for Children

What better way to brighten a sick child's day than a special visit from a real circus clown? MassGeneral Hospital for Children patients and friends gathered in the hospital's playroom for an exclusive meeting with "Bonzo Crunch" of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus the morning of Sept. 22. Many of the pediatric patients were already familiar with the world-famous "Greatest Show on Earth" and had anticipated a one-of-a-kind visit from Bonzo Crunch, who entertained the children with jokes, juggling and an arts and crafts project. "The children were delighted to meet the clown," says Heather Peach, MGH child life specialist. "It was amazing to see their eyes light up when they met him. They loved the rubber clown noses that he gave them and truly enjoyed his visit."
