AMMP scholarships help MGHers realize their dreams

MGH employees were applauded for their extraordinary commitment to education as they received scholarships totaling more than $10,000 at the Association of Multicultural Members of Partners (AMMP) annual scholarship awards ceremony Sept. 14. Each year, AMMP sponsors the scholarship program to assist its members in advancing their career goals by furthering their educations.

Scholarships were awarded in the amounts of $500 and $1,000 and can be used for certificate, undergraduate and graduate level programs. In addition, the Institute of Health Professions provided a three-credit scholarship worth more than $2,000. This year's recipients are Rocella Anderson-Bodden, Linda Belsanti, Ana Cabral, Corinne Castro, Solomon Mugati, Johanna Nieto, Marie Philiossaint, Mythily Srigananathan and Sandra Thomas.

"Supporting the employees who have made such an extraordinary commitment to furthering their educations is just one of the many ways AMMP helps all multicultural members throughout Partners in their professional development efforts," says Helen Witherspoon, the outgoing chairwoman of AMMP.
