PIE dancers needed
Volunteer dancers are needed to participate in the 2006 Partners in Excellence (PIE) Awards video. The filming will take place Oct. 20, from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm, and all dancers will meet in the Warren Lobby to be directed to an outdoor filming location. In the event of rain, the filming will take place in the Yawkey Center, second floor, above the Riverside Cafe. To participate, e-mail Therese Angela O'Neill at taoneill@partners.org by Oct. 18.

Eldercare discussion group
The MGH Employee Assistance Program (EAP) will host its monthly eldercare discussion group Oct. 17, from noon to 1 pm in the Yawkey Center, Room 10620. Janet T. Loughlin, LICSW, and Barbara Moscowitz, LICSW, will present. For more information, call (617) 726-6976.

"Moving You into Better Fitness"
In honor of National Physical Therapy Month, MGH Physical Therapy Services will host "Moving You into Better Fitness" Oct. 18, from 10 am to 3 pm in the Main Corridor. Physical therapists will be available to discuss general fitness programs and sports-related fitness activities. The event also will feature free golf T-shirts and a golf putting contest. Breastfeeding workshop
The MGH Employee Assistance Program will offer "Nourishing Your Newborn" Oct. 19, from noon to 1 pm in VBK, Room 401 with Germaine Lambergs, an MGH lactation consultant. The presentation also will include a tour of the MGH Mother's Corner. For more information, call (617) 726-6976.

Grant writing course
The MGH Clinical Research Program is offering "Writing Your First Investigator Initiated NIH Grant as a Young Investigator" Nov. 8 and 15, from 4 to 5:30 pm in the Simches Center, Room 3110. Domestic violence presentation
In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the MGH Domestic Violence Working Group will offer "Triumph ¥ To Achieve Victory, to Survive" Oct. 20, from 11:45 am to 1 pm. MGH staff will read anonymous writings from survivors of partner abuse, as well as from family members, friends and supporters. For more information, contact Bonnie Zimmer at bzimmer@partners.org.

Dermatology Laser and Cosmetic Center open house

Domestic violence information table
MGH Men Against Abuse will host a domestic violence information table Oct. 20, from 7 to 9 am in the Main Corridor. Group members will provide information about the dynamics of domestic violence.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk
The MGH Department of Surgery is sponsoring an MGH team to participate in the Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk to benefit the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
