  • Durant fellow makes a difference in Rwanda
    Lucinda Langenkamp, RN, NP, isn't your average primary care nurse. As a 2006 Thomas S. Durant, MD, fellow, Langenkamp spent eight months providing health care to the rural poor in the Rwinkwavu and Kirehe provinces of southeastern Rwanda.
  • Pats prizes for blood donors
    During the next few weeks, New England Patriots fans will have the opportunity to get a head start on the 2007 season in a unique way - by donating blood at the MGH Blood Donor Center. From Feb. 5 through 16, all MGH employees who donate blood at the center automatically will be entered into a raffle to win either a football autographed by defensive lineman Vince Wilfork or a team jersey autographed by running back Corey Dillon.
  • Administrative assistants use concepts from Toyota
    Recently a small group of MGH administrative assistants simplified some of their more time-consuming tasks using a process improvement model developed by Toyota. The administrative assistant workgroup identified several barriers that made their day-to-day work difficult and then collaborated on ways to eliminate these obstacles.
