James F. Gusella, PhD, director
of the MGH Center for Human Genetic Research, has received the 2007 Distinguished
Investigator Award from NARSAD: The Mental Health Research Association.
The one-year grant of $100,000 will aid Gusella in his study of several
gene variants associated with autism.
Christopher S. Ogilvy, MD,
director of MGH Cerebrovascular Surgery, has been named the recipient
of the C. Miller Fisher, MD, Award from the American Stroke Association
(ASA), a division of the American Heart Association. Named in honor of
former MGHer C. Miller Fisher, MD, the award is the ASAÕs highest
honor and recognizes a member of the Greater Boston medical community
for contributions to the stroke field.
