Nominations for the Nathaniel Bowditch Prize
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2008 Nathaniel Bowditch Prize. The $5,000 award will be presented to an MGH employee — clinician or
nonclinician — who has made a significant contribution to improving the quality of care at the hospital while reducing the cost of such care. The award was established in 2000 by Charles and Nancy Munger through the Alfred C. Munger Foundation to honor Nathaniel Bowditch, a 19th century pioneer in celestial navigation and an early supporter of the MGH. Nomination forms are available by contacting Suzanne M. Williams at (617) 726-8254 or swilliams7@partners.org. Nominations are due by Nov. 2 and should be submitted to Andrew Warshaw, MD, chairman of the Bowditch Prize Selection Committee, at White 506.
