Senior HealthWISE events
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a "Get Warm, Stay Fit" exercise session Jan. 31, from 11 am to noon at the Clubs at Charles River Park, followed by lunch from noon to 1 pm. Registration is required. The program also will offer free hypertension screenings and blood pressure checks Jan. 28, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the West End Library, and Feb. 4, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at the Hill House, 127 Mt. MLK tribute event
In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Partners HealthCare and the MGH Disparities Solutions Center will host its annual event, "A Celebration of the Legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr." Feb. 1, from 9 to 10 am in the Simches Research Center, Room 3110. Juan Williams, correspondent for National Public Radio and author of Eyes on the Prize, will be the guest speaker. For more information, call (617) 724-3963.

Call for CIMIT grant applications
CIMIT is accepting applications for its science and clinical systems innovations grants, which support research teams focusing on early stage medical devices, procedures, diagnosis and procedural systems that will result in better patient care.
Pre-proposals for grants in both categories are due by Feb. 9. Teams whose pre-proposals are accepted will be required to submit a full proposal by March 16. Final decisions will be made by May 4. For more information, visit www.cimit.org.

Info-Bytes computer courses
Partners Information Systems Training is introducing its new Microsoft Office 2003 computer courses, "Info-Bytes," which are one-hour, hands-on sessions taught at an accelerated pace. For a complete course schedule or to register, use PeopleSoft at ibridge.partners.org and select: "PeopleSoft HRMS Production," "Self-Service," "Employee," "Tasks," "Request Training Enrollment," and "Search by Course Code." Conversations with Caregivers eldercare series
The MGH Geriatric Medicine Unit will host "An Open Conversation" Jan. 29, from 5:15 to 6:30 pm in the Blum Center. Volunteers needed for Job Shadow Day
