In General The Imperial College of London has appointed Jay Loeffler, MD, chief of MGH Radiation Oncology, as a visiting professor for the 2008 calendar year. The appointment was announced by Stephen Smith, DSc, FMedSci, principal of the Faculty of Medicine, and Sir Richard Sykes, rector of the college. In this role, Loeffler will serve as an advisor for the cancer programs at the college as well as the Hammersmith and Charing Cross Hospitals. Unity First News named Deborah Washington, RN, PhDc, director The National Council of Instructional Administrators selected the MGH/Bunker Hill Community College sterile processing certification preparation course as the winner in the Workforce Development
category of its annual Exemplary Initiatives Competition. The 15-week course prepares students for careers in sterile processing and
distribution in the MGH Operating Rooms and includes a reading comprehension exam, exam review sessions, flexible scheduling opportunities for students and funding for books, the certification exam and additional fees. |
