Two MGHers/Patriots fans win a dream
Super Bowl trip
Congratulations
to Colleen Brown, RN, staff nurse on Blake 11, (left) and Jennifer
Carew, medical technologist for the Pulmonary and Critical Care Unit (below).
They are the lucky winners of the MGH's New England Patriots raffle and
will enjoy a four-day Super Bowl XLII extravaganza, including two tickets
to the sold out Super Bowl game in Phoenix. Proceeds from the raffle benefit
the MGH Fund, which helps support the hospital's most immediate needs.
"I think I am still in shock," says Carew. "My hands were
shaking when I was trying to fill
out the paperwork for the trip. It's a very generous prize, and I can't
thank the MGH enough for the opportunity. Go Pats!"
"I still can't believe it's true," says Brown. "It feels
like a dream. Thank you to the MGH for this opportunity. It reinforces
that the hospital truly is a great place to work. Go Patriots!"
Jeff Davis, senior vice president of Human Resources, congratulated the
winners. "We had a great turnout from the Patriots fans who entered
the Super Bowl raffle," he said. "With more than 3,000 entries,
Jennifer and Colleen are truly lucky winners. We would like to thank all
of the employees who participated for supporting the MGH Fund, an important
patient care fund."
