The MGH receives Corporate Leadership Award

The Urban League of Eastern Massachusetts bestowed one of its highest honors on the MGH at the organization's 16th annual awards gala April 5 at the Seaport World Trade Center. Peter L. Slavin, MD, president of the MGH, accepted the Corporate Leadership Award, an honor recognizing the hospital's work with the Urban League to address health care disparities in the Boston area as well as its commitment to hiring a diverse workforce. The Corporate Leadership Awards are presented to leading organizations that maintain a strong and supportive relationship with the Urban League with the common goals of encouraging economic and community development through employment, supporting families and protecting civil rights. Other MGH staff and leaders attended the gala to celebrate this distinguished honor.
