Adult Cystic Fibrosis Center

The Massachusetts General Hospital Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program is staffed by world-class specialists who provide outstanding, comprehensive care to adults diagnosed with this uncommon and complex disease.

Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing Laboratory

The Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) Laboratory provides comprehensive testing for patients with a variety of heart and lung conditions to determine whether the heart, lungs or skeletal muscles limit exercise capacity.

Dyspnea Clinic

The Massachusetts General Hospital Dyspnea Clinic is staffed by world-class specialists who evaluate and treat patients with unexplained dyspnea (shortness of breath), including the most complicated cases.

Interstitial Lung Disease Program

The Massachusetts General Hospital Interstitial Lung Disease Program provides the latest diagnostic and therapeutic options for patients with the roughly 160 disorders categorized as interstitial lung diseases, also known as pulmonary fibrosis.

Interventional Pulmonology Program

The Massachusetts General Hospital Interventional Pulmonology Program is staffed by specialists who diagnose and treat complicated pulmonary diseases using state-of-the-art, minimally invasive therapies.

Lung Transplant Program

Our pulmonologists partner with the Mass General Transplant Center to provide patients with individualized care before and after lung transplants.

Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)

The Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) cares for patients with a wide variety of serious medical illnesses. These patients present complex, comorbid conditions from sepsis to pneumonia, acute respiratory distress syndrome to multiple organ failure.

Occupational & Environmental Disease Service

This service is focused on the diagnosis, management and prevention of diseases due to exposures from work, home and community.

Partners Asthma Center

Mass General's Asthma Clinic, part of the Partners Asthma Center, provides comprehensive care for patients with asthma and related diseases.

Pulmonary Function Testing Laboratory

The Pulmonary Function Testing Laboratory performs a variety of tests to aid in diagnosing and assessing the severity of lung diseases.

Pulmonary Hypertension and Thromboendarterectomy Program

The Pulmonary Hypertension and Thromboendarterectomy Program at Massachusetts General Hospital is committed to the state-of-the-art evaluation, treatment and support of patients with all forms of pulmonary hypertension.

Respiratory Acute Care Unit

The Respiratory Acute Care Unit cares for patients who need help breathing, either with or without the assistance of a respirator (i.e. mechanical ventilator).
