MGH Radiologist-in-Chief James Thrall, MD, is one of three individuals to be appointed a new member of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Advisory Committee to the Director (ACD).
Since 1966, the ACD has advised the NIH director on policy and planning issues important to the institution’s mission of conducting and supporting biomedical and behavioral research, research training, and translating research results for the public.
Thrall joins Maria Freire, PhD, president of The Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation, and Beatriz Luna, PhD, associate professor of psychiatry and psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.
