'Defensive medicine' leads to over-ordering of exams

Adding to the debate about "overuse" of imaging studies, this opinion piece, by Mass General Imaging Fellow Arun Krishnaraj, MD, highlights a "culture of defensive medicine" that encourages physicians to order "numerous and often unnecessary studies to evaluate for unlikely pathologies."
