Regenerative Medicine Research Laboratory Facilities Overview The Center for Regenerative Medicine’s new location on the main Mass General Campus offers many benefits and new opportunities for advancing our stem cell research. Opened in June of 2005, the Simches Research Building houses state-of-the-art laboratory space for the Thematic Centers at MGH including the Center for Regenerative Medicine. One of the most important aspects of this research laboratory space is the inclusion of several Core Facilities associated with the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. HSCI has funded these cores “to accelerate stem cell research within the Harvard community by providing resources and services that are beyond the means of most individual labs.” The Center was awarded one of three FACS core facilities to provide flow and cell sorting services to the MGH community. This area of our website provides information on each of these cores and the essential services they provide. As the cores are developed, they will serve to bring together researchers from across the Boston medical community to engage in research that could not occur without such collaboration.
