Research at Mass General
To reaffirm the message about the essential role that science— and biomedical research, in particular—plays in improving life and health, several groups from Massachusetts General Hospital are working together to organize and ensure a significant Mass General presence at the Boston March for Science.
On Saturday, April 22 thousands of supporters are expected to come together on the Boston Common from 2 to 4 pm for the Boston March for Science, a sister event to science rallies taking place in Washington DC and in more than 400 cities around the world that same day.
The Boston March for Science will celebrate the discovery, understanding and sharing of scientific knowledge and will champion publicly funded and publicly communicated scientific knowledge. The goal is to unite a diverse and nonpartisan group to celebrate Boston as a space for scientists and scientific research.
Several groups from Massachusetts General Hospital including the MGH Healthcare Advocacy Committee, Physicians for Policy Action, and the Mass General Research Institute are working together to organize and ensure a significant Mass General presence at the Boston March for Science.
Participants from Mass General will meet on the Bulfinch lawn at noon and following brief remarks, the group will march onto the Boston Common to show support for this important message.
Anyone who is interested in being a part of what is sure to be a memorable and inspiring day is welcome to participate in this effort.
