The Laboratory of Molecular Endocrinology conducts basic research to discover the causes of diabetes and potential cures for the disease.

OverviewOur work has led to important discoveries in the areas of regulation of gene expression in pancreatic islet cell lines, functions of DNA-binding proteins in the expression of pancreatic hormone genes, and animal studies of pancreas-derived stem cells.
